Let’s get ready to bundle

It’s a little warm for a Wellensteyn Brandungsparka, but not for long. Sniff. The rugged yet fashionable jacket was created more than 60 years ago in Germany by Adolf Wuttke, owner of a company that produced mechanical instruments used in the North Sea – where people know a thing or two about sturdy outerwear. Wuttke’s grandson expanded the line, which includes the popular Brandungsparka ($325, right) and Siberia ($400). Jackets for men and women are windproof, waterproof, and equipped with zippered pockets, removable hoods, and velcro sleeve cuffs.
