Jennifer Pinck’s paintings reflect a turn from her trailblazing career in the design-and-construction industry to her current journey as an artist. Observing and interpreting the landscape, buildings and structures, shadows and light, color and geometry are integral to Jennifer's creative process.
As an artist, Jennifer draws on her decades of experience converting two-dimensional plans into three-dimensional structures (buildings, bridges, tunnels). The same attention to detail she brought to her storied construction career, now informs her commitment to painting.
Nestled in her painting studio in the Annisquam Woods of Gloucester, she has now immersed herself in creating works of art and exploring mediums and compositions. Some of her many exhibits have been at Art in the Barn in Essex MA, at Alpers Fine Art in Rockport MA, and Slow River Studio in Topsfield MA.
An ardent supporter of art and artists, she served as a Trustee of the Montserrat College of Art and is now Chair of the Board of Directors at the Boston Center for the Arts. She and her wife Kelle are avid collectors of treasures found at galleries, studios, and yard sales.
In addition to her artistic achievements, she is also the first woman to obtain a full Boston Builder’s License (1986); she worked on the tallest cast-in-place skyscraper in New England; and had a lead role on both of New England’s mega-projects, first as construction manager on the Deer Island Treatment Plant, then as mitigation director on the Big Dig. She delivered over $6 billion worth of projects through her own company, Pinck & Co., a Project Management firm to serve non-profit, public sector, and institutional clients.
In addition to her show at Drinkwater’s in Cambridge MA, her art may be viewed on Instagram @jenpinck and www.jenpinck.com.
